Live, laugh, love & dream big dreams!
Jonathan and I were stopped at a red light the other day and both spotted an old man walking alone on the foot path. An ordinary looking old man, he wore a brown suit and still had a full head of gray hair, but what caught our eye was that he was walking along with a big grin. It was so lovely to see. He just seemed to have such a great attitude towards life.
We both wondered what his life would have consisted of? What sights he would have seen, or not seen? What success he would have encountered, or maybe not encountered. What loves he would have experienced???
I want to live my life to the absolute fullest! Get to old age and have no regrets and wear a big smile on my face just like that old man.
I love being in love, and having big dreams, and I love that I have my whole life ahead of me to achieve those dreams!!
And so I leave you with this quote. Definitely one of my favorites.
"Rest not! Life is sweeping by; go and dare before you die. Something mighty and sublime, leave behind to conquer time." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

There's no place like home.
There has been a reoccurring theme in my dreams every night this week....Home sweet home.
Last night I had quite a merry dream. I was back at home on the Sunshine Coast, with my closest friends and my family. I can't remember what I was doing exactly. All I remember was having this content feeling of happiness that would never end, that could never end...
...and then I woke up.
It made me think today that we should never take home for granted. Embrace each moment that we spend with our loved ones. I am so incredibly blessed to have such amazing people in my life. I think of you and pray for you all everyday.
You know you're home sick when you start posting photos of where you used to live on blog sites.
mmm...

Wedding Inspiration.
Heya!!
I've had a lot of spare time at home after my op, so I've tried to use my time wisely and get some wedding prep done. I am having a ball planning for July 9!
I wanted to share with you some of my ideas!! (if you click on the photo you will be able to see each picture bigger)
After checking out some beautiful Wedding sites I am convinced that our wedding will have;
1. Jar tea-lights and hanging lanterns.
2. Centerpieces- vintage tins, jars or teapots to hold flowers.
3. A wild, overgrown floral theme for the reception.
4. Vintage elements.
5. Succulents.
6. Pearls in bridesmaids hair.
7. Fairy floss.
8. Mine and Jonathan's pick of candy in vases with serving scoops.
9. Possible flower in my hair.
I found this picture of January Jone's hair, and simply fell in love. I want to have the exact same hairstyle for my bridesmaids but with only 3 strands and instead of diamonds have baby pearls. Isn't it divine?!!
I also love these colours for the girls bouguets.
Aren't the jam jar tea-lights below adorable!
I'm loving these blush and dusty pink colours for the flowers in the centre of each table. Not the dark purple as I'm trying to steer away from darks and bolder colours. They will match the bridesmaids dresses so perfectly. Does anyone know exactly what these flowers are called? Let me know if so!!
I'm happy to say that I'll be coming home to the Coast in late April. I'll then be able to have appointments and finally set things in stone for the big day!
I hope you've enjoyed checking out my inspired ideas.
I look forward to sharing more with you soon!
Lots of love,

Wow.
What a week...
I had my first operation ever on Monday the 15th of March at 7.15am.
Rhinoplasty/Septoplasty. (nose job) Ouch!
It definitely was something I had been contemplating for a while but I never thought the healing process would be SO intense!
Thankfully I had my wonderful, beautiful, caring, kind-hearted mother come and stay with me for 7 whole days (as you need 7days for the bruising to go down).
Well it certainly has been a 7day emotional roller-coaster but everyone who knows about it has been so lovely and supportive! (Thank-you all my beautiful friends and family)
Mum and I decided on day 5 of the healing process that it might be a healthy idea to get out of the apartment we'd been cooped up in and drive down to my sisters place in Jervis Bay. So my amazing fiance' Jonathan accompanied us and we all enjoyed the gorgeous Friday afternoon drive. The scenery wasn't to harsh on the ol' eyes either. :)
It is always a joy to see my beautiful niece India and CUTE nephew Kaiden!
Kaiden named the cast on my nose an "Owie" and offered to rub it better.
I graciously declined...Ha ha.
Whilst in recovery and having very limited things to do I decided to google others who have had the same procedure. I was surprised to find that a lot of our Aussie celebs and Hollywood stars now have completely different noses to what they were born with! I loved looking at the before and afters!
Have a look for yourselves! http://www.celebrityplasticpics.com/
I finally after one entire week of having this cast on my nose get to see MY VERY OWN 'Before and After' tomorrow :) which I'm totally nervous but also completely excited about!
I'm praying it to be everything I've dreamed of and better!
Goodnight.

A big year ahead!
As you may know, at the end of 2009 I got engaged to the love of my life and very best friend, Jonathan Bowden.
In July of this year I not only get to Marry my best friend but I officially join the Bowden clan!
Already 2010 has been full on! A time of healing, planning, loving, and learning. The not so fun part has definitely been the healing, but the fun is the planning!!!
Ever since I was 10yrs old I've kept cutouts in a scrap book of my dream wedding day!
Of course being a 10yr old it had to be a Princess wedding. I kept pictures of an old chapel, a long red carpet, red roses, a big poofy dress and a white horse.
Its great to look back on the pics and reminisce, but since then my style and ideas have adapted and changed. Now my thoughts are the simpler- the better!
So I've gone for a more elegant and romantic approach for my wedding day with a theme of pearls and lace.
Very excited to be having the ceremony and reception at the dreamy Clios venue in Palmwoods on the Sunshine Coast.
I have been SO blessed, that everything has just sort of fallen into place very seamlessly.
My bridesmaids are done, the groomsmen are done, my dress is in the making...all in all it is going to be a very beautiful day! So YAY for July 9 and for more adventures and stories to come!!
